Re: questions about child support
Tue, December 19, 2006 - 9:52 PMi used this one before out of curiosity.
www.alllaw.com/calculator...california/
although it says i should get more than i do.
things are going good between us,
and i am surviving, so i haven't rocked the boat and asked for more.
it looks like this one is specific to california,
so you might want to google "child support calculator & your state"
if you are somewhere else.
good luck!

Re: questions about child support
Fri, January 12, 2007 - 7:44 PMhow support is caluculated varies by state. Its not a percentage of the fathers income but rather in most states a complicated fomula calculating both incomes time spent other costs and even asigning an income in some states if you are deemed to be not earning the minimal accepatble amount.
If you want to know what it is in your area googel child support and your state -

Re: questions about child support
Tue, December 18, 2007 - 7:35 PMIt's bases on their income before taxes. So say he/she receives $1400, monthly, as income, then it's really more like $1800 when you are doing the calculations.
