I have a story to share,
My daughter’s mother died more than a year ago.
We were divorced, I live in Reno, NV, and she lived in Hilliard, OH.
We had a very god relationship, and talked often and visited each other, vent on vacation etc…
So she died.
My in-laws tried to keep her death a secret for me.
They hid my daughter from me, and the CPD refused to be involved.
So I finally get possession of my daughter, and we fly back here.
A few weeks go by, and I am being served with court papers, they sue me for custody.
Stating that since I am a foreign citizen, I can move my daughter out of the country...
Ohio has a “Grandparents right law” that they are abusing.
Any way, after about 9 months we reach a settlement and Kati is supposed to visit them each winter and part of summer break, and being a nice guy, I offer to help with airfare since I am an airline employee.
Two moths my employment ended, and I notified my in-laws that they would have to carry the normal airfare.
I heard nothing, not unusual; they also have phone privileges with my daughter that they rarely exercise.
Two days ago, I get an email where they just cancel the winter brake visit, not apologizing, not asking if I have other plans, they just cancel it.
