Single parents a political factor to count on

It is 5,097,664 households in this country with a single male as head of household and 14,018,712 with a single female as head of household.
That is more than 19 000 000 single parent household.
That does NOT mean that more than 19 000 000 people live in sin.. it means that all these people represent an incredible political force, if organized.
Look at AARP, and their influence in society, there is no reason single parents should not achieve the same influence, and use it to improve their and their kid’s life.
Single parents are a great recourse for society; they take upon themselves an incredible task to raise good citizen and future taxpayers. In return for this, they are treated as the redhaired, green eyed stepchild.
Single parents have to go to charities and welfare to manage, and they really do a great job for society and should not have to beg for anything.
What disturb me the most is that society spend more effort on collecting traffic tickets that huntdown deadbeat parents and collect owed child support, and thereby force single parents into poverty.
Even as my daughter have significant income of her own, I still have my fair share of struggle ( I know, it can not compare to what many of you struggle with) and I see great opportunities for improvements.
Nothing is however going to happened unless single parents unite and start using their collective strength...
